Why Personal Revelation?
· To become fearless
· To be prepared for
the future
· To receive help
· To gain knowledge
You either walk out that door as a person that, because of the
constant whisperings of Satan, is muddled by the voices in your head that fear
being judged, is feeling overwhelmed, hates yourself, feels guilty,
undeserving, dirty or any number of other things Satan loves to whisper to us.
Or you walk
out that door as a child of a living God
who lifts
others, defeats the adversary, redeems and unites
deceased family, and makes a way for the warriors coming
after us.
With personal revelation you walk out that door in the armor of
God, wielding His power, and doing his work. Which is,
remarkably, the exact work that you have been promised by God, if you believe
Him, will bring you the most joy and happiness that you can attain on this
planet. So watch how you walk out that door.
Let’s look at these three quotes from Sheri Dew, previous
counselor in the general presidency of Relief
Society and CEO of Deseret Book Company.
Quote 1: “We must each walk through life on our own, but we
don't have to do it alone. God wants a powerful people. He gives His power to
those who are faithful. We have a sacred obligation to seek after the power of
God and then to use that power as He directs. And when we have the power of God
with us, nothing is impossible.”
Quote 2: “If God wants a powerful people who can withstand the
wiles of the devil—and He does—and if we were born to lead in these latter
days—and we were—then we need to understand how God makes His power available
to us and how we gain access to that power.” —Sheri Dew (Source)
Quote 3: “...when we have the power of God with us, nothing is impossible. I repeat, God wants a powerful people. Ammon taught that “a man may have great power given him from God,” and Nephi prophesied that we of the latter days would be “armed with . . . the power of God in great glory.” (Mosiah 8:16 & 1 Nephi 14:14;)—Sheri Dew (Source)

When we have the power of
God with us, nothing is impossible. When nothing is impossible, we can strike
out confidently, fearlessly even, “armed with . . . the power of God in great
glory.”
